A COACH carries a valued person from where they are to where they want to be!

Homework:

Identify and honor an outstanding Coach.  Select someone you know whose behavior best reflects the principles of a Coach.  Write that person’s name on page 181 or your book, or in your journal.  Reach out to and teach that person the meaning of “Coach” and explain why he or she personifies this word.

This morning we started our new book Aspire: Discovering Your Purpose Through the Power of Words by Kevin Hall.  We covered from the Forward by Stephen R. Covey through page 18.

I am already completely captivated by this phenomenally well-written book.  We talked about the beauty of the idea of having a “Book of Greats”.  The newly acquired word in our collective vocabulary is “GENSHAI”, it means that you should never treat another person in a manner that would make them feel small.

Reading of the amazing Dr. Viktor Frankl in this section of the book inspired us to add “Man’s Search for Meaning” as a possible next book in The Book Readers Club.

Homework:

On page 17 the homework is explained.  Identify and Honor a Practitioner of Genshai.  Select someone whose behavior best reflects the principles of Genshai.  Write that person’s name in the box on page 17.  Reach out to and teach that person the meaning of “Genshai” and explain why he or she personifies this word.

Today we finished reading StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath and today we covered pages 147-the end  and covered the strengths of:

What a GREAT BOOK!  We are getting a copy of this book for every member of the BNI Utah Director Team so we can use this to make an even stronger team!  Our re-cap of how to get the most out of this book:

1. Be certain to take the assessment before you start reading the book.
2. Read your themes as soon as you get to the themes section.
3. Even if you don’t want to read all the other themes, at minimum read “Working with _____” section on each theme.
4. Read it with someone else so you can discuss the themes and how you can learn from each.
